Stella & Dot Fashion Show!
So this past weekend I was fortunate to walk again for Stella & Dot's annual Hoopla event, which this year took place in Orlando, Florida. Great for me because I was able to fly to Tampa to see my family and drive back and forth. I did this show two years ago when I was still living in Florida and it was amazing. The crew, the audience, the models, its a huge girl boss experience.
Stella & Dot is a boutique style jewelry company created by and made for women. Within Stella & Dot you have representatives (stylist) who are the sellers and create events and teach consumers about the perks of buying from Stella & Dot. They are very innovative with their designs and what I love about their pieces is that you can wear them many different ways. I saw a necklace that was used as a choker and then a bracelet!
This year was special for many reasons. First, It was my first booking with my central Florida agency Modern Muse ran by the beautiful Alexis Perry! She is amazing and not only is she the owner of Modern Muse, she's a model and photographer and everything else you can think of.
This year was also awesome because beauty and style expert Mary Alice Stephenson was styling all the models this year. Mary Alice Stephenson is a styling icon, she was fashion director at Harper's Bazaar, styling celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker and more. She is also big in charity work, she starting her own non profit Glam4Good.
But you can't forget the models! This year was special because I got to see a lot of my Orlando/Tampa models that I haven't seen in FOREVER. Every girl sweeter than the last. One thing I love about the Florida market is that the models stick together. We aren't so competitive as the New York market and are always willing to help. One of the models, Kailyn, who was also one of the runner ups for the Miss Florida pageant this month, was nice enough to help me with transportation from the show. Without her I would not have been able to do the show. I also met the sweetest girl ever! Laura, She was runner up in cycle 13 of America's Next Top Model. She was the literally the definition of a southern belle. So beautiful and charismatic.
Oh and the best part? Christy Turlington was a guest speaker at the event! She was so beautiful and so inspiring. We weren't able to take pictures with her but just being in a supermodels presence does something to you.
Overall the show was amazing, we had an amazing choreographer Daniel who owns an agency in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, we had an amazing crowd of 3,000 beautiful women cheering us on the whole way. The team including the dressers backstage were amazing. It was one of my favorite shows to date.
